Voice 1st Diary is designed around a simple principle: capturing a thought or moment should be quick, natural and private. If you need help using the app, troubleshooting an issue or understanding how a feature works, you’ll find the key information below.

Getting Started

Voice 1st Diary is designed with a voice-first workflow.

From the main screen, you can quickly begin a new diary entry using your voice. You can also type an entry manually when voice recording is not appropriate.

Depending on the features available in your version of the app, diary entries may include:

Voice-to-text diary capture
Manually typed entries
Entry titles
Photos attached to diary entries
Date and time information
Search and browsing of previous entries
Personalisation options
App security and privacy controls

Voice Recording and Transcription

Voice 1st Diary requires microphone access when using voice-entry functions.

If voice recording is not working:

Open Settings on your iPhone.
Locate Voice 1st Diary.
Confirm that Microphone permission is enabled.
If speech transcription permissions are requested by your version of iOS, ensure these are also enabled.
Close and reopen Voice 1st Diary.

Voice recognition accuracy can be affected by background noise, microphone obstruction, pronunciation and the speech-recognition services available on your device.

You can review and edit transcribed text before retaining your diary entry.

Using Voice 1st Diary Offline

Voice 1st Diary has been designed with an offline-first philosophy.

Core diary functionality is intended to remain available without requiring a continuous internet connection.

Some optional features, particularly services that depend on online processing or artificial intelligence, may require an active internet connection.

Adding Photos

Where photo attachments are enabled, Voice 1st Diary may request permission to access your photo library or camera.

You can manage these permissions at any time through:

iPhone Settings → Voice 1st Diary

If a photo cannot be added, confirm that the appropriate Photos or Camera permission has been granted.

Security and Privacy

Personal diary information can be highly sensitive. Data protection and user privacy are therefore core design priorities for Voice 1st Diary.

Depending on your device and configured app settings, security options may include device-supported authentication and additional application access controls.

You should maintain appropriate security on your iPhone, including a device passcode and biometric authentication where available.

Problems Opening the App

If Voice 1st Diary does not operate as expected:

Close and reopen the application.
Confirm that your iPhone is running a supported version of iOS.
Check the App Store for an available Voice 1st Diary update.
Restart your iPhone.
Try the affected function again.

Before deleting or reinstalling Voice 1st Diary, consider whether doing so could affect locally stored diary information.
