1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Livestock Treatment Logbook handles information when you use the application. Livestock Treatment Logbook is provided by Glenn Jones trading as Applied Latitude Consulting and is designed as an offline-first livestock record-keeping application.
2. Information handled by the application
Users can create and manage operational livestock records that may include:
- livestock treatment records;
- livestock, mob or livestock-group information;
- products and product batches;
- locations or paddocks;
- operators;
- treatment purposes and dates;
- withholding information;
- notes; and
- related operational records.
Applied Latitude Consulting does not collect or receive your livestock treatment database or routine livestock operational records during normal app operation. You are not required to provide livestock operational records to the developer for the application's core record-keeping functions to operate.
Apple may make limited subscription and entitlement information available to the application, including product identifiers, transaction and verification status, subscription status, and applicable expiry or revocation information. The developer does not receive your complete payment-card details.
3. How information is used
Information entered into the app is processed to provide functions requested by the user, including:
- recording livestock treatments;
- maintaining treatment history;
- maintaining product and product-batch information;
- maintaining paddock, location, mob and livestock-group information;
- searching, reviewing and editing records;
- producing exports requested by the user;
- supporting voice-assisted entry when enabled; and
- maintaining the integrity and usability of your records.
Subscription and entitlement information is used only to determine Free or Pro access, process or restore purchases, maintain a previously verified subscription entitlement where appropriate, manage subscription status, and apply Free-plan capacity limits.
4. Local storage and offline operation
The application is designed to operate offline. Core livestock records are stored and processed locally on your device. Routine use of the livestock database does not require those records to be sent to Applied Latitude Consulting.
The app may store local technical information needed for operation, including usage counters, application settings, and the most recently verified subscription-entitlement state. Previously verified subscription information may be cached locally so legitimate subscribers can continue using eligible functionality temporarily when internet access is unavailable.
5. Cloud services and synchronisation
The current application does not use a developer-operated cloud database to collect or store users' livestock treatment records. Livestock Treatment Logbook does not currently provide developer-operated cloud backup, cloud synchronisation or multi-device storage for livestock records.
Device backups or other operating-system services configured independently by you may handle application data according to the terms and settings of those services. Those services are outside the developer's control.
6. Voice-assisted entry, speech processing and artificial intelligence
The application may provide voice-assisted data entry when you enable and choose to use it. Microphone and speech-recognition access is controlled through Apple's permission and platform controls. Processing performed by Apple platform capabilities is subject to Apple's applicable privacy terms and your device settings.
Applied Latitude Consulting does not receive or retain your voice recordings or transcripts as part of normal app operation. The approved production version does not routinely transmit livestock records, voice recordings or transcripts to an external generative-AI provider.
7. Apple App Store services and subscriptions
Optional purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and StoreKit infrastructure. Apple processes payment information, and the developer does not receive complete payment-card details. Apple may provide the transaction, verification and subscription-entitlement information needed to enable paid functionality. Purchase restoration and subscription management also use Apple's App Store infrastructure. Apple's own Privacy Policy applies to its services.
8. Analytics, advertising, tracking and third-party SDKs
The current production privacy baseline does not include third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking technologies, or crash-reporting SDKs that collect user or device information.
The application does not use livestock operational records for advertising or tracking. Ordinary Apple platform and App Store services are governed by Apple and are not controlled by Applied Latitude Consulting.
9. Retention and deletion
Locally stored livestock records remain on your device until you delete them through available application functionality, remove the application's data, or delete the application. This is subject to the behaviour of any device backup or synchronisation service configured by you and outside the developer's control.
Some completed or historical records may use archiving, amendment or voiding rather than destructive deletion where necessary to preserve record integrity and treatment history. Deleting or archiving master information, such as a product or location, must not corrupt previously created treatment records.
Subscription-entitlement information may be retained locally to preserve the most recently verified entitlement and support offline use. Applied Latitude Consulting does not retain developer-held copies of livestock records that have never been transmitted to it.
10. Security
The application uses platform-appropriate safeguards intended to protect locally stored application information. Paid access is based on verified Apple StoreKit transactions. Locally cached entitlement information may reproduce a previously verified Apple entitlement but cannot independently create an entitlement.
Reasonable technical controls are maintained to protect against unauthorised access, accidental loss, corruption and inappropriate disclosure. No security system can guarantee absolute protection. You should protect your device using appropriate device security controls and handle exported records carefully.
11. International processing
Routine livestock operational records are not transmitted to Applied Latitude Consulting and therefore are not transferred internationally by the developer during normal core-app operation. Apple may process App Store, transaction or platform information through international infrastructure according to Apple's terms and privacy arrangements.
12. Children's privacy
Livestock Treatment Logbook is an operational livestock-management application and is not specifically directed toward children. The application is not designed intentionally to collect personal information from children.
13. User access and control
Users retain practical control over the livestock information entered into the application.
Subject to available app functionality, users can:
- view their records;
- correct or edit their records;
- delete, archive, amend or void applicable records;
- search their records;
- export supported records;
- continue accessing existing records after reaching a Free-plan creation limit; and
- restore or manage eligible App Store purchases and subscriptions through Apple.
Reaching a Free-plan capacity limit does not remove access to existing livestock records. Statutory privacy rights may vary by jurisdiction. Where Applied Latitude Consulting actually holds personal information about a person, requests concerning access, correction, deletion or other applicable privacy rights may be sent to support@appliedlatitude.com.
14. Exports and information shared by the user
You may choose to export or share supported records. After information is exported or shared at your direction, its handling depends on the destination and recipient you select. Consider whether exported livestock or operational records contain confidential, commercially sensitive or personal information before sharing them.
15. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if application functionality, data practices, legal requirements or third-party services change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the policy version and effective date on this page.
